The best thing I can say about the stay in this hotel was that it was across the street from the north terminal at Gatwick Airport. In a way, maybe that's a bad thing. They have very little interest in guest needs as much as funneling the endless number of guests that come to them on a daily basis. I'm thinking just an overnight stay then catch a flight in the morning. Well unfortunately that wasn't us. We stayed at this hotel because it was close to the terminals as well as the trains that we would subsequently take London. The room itself was spartan, no problem, we weren't going to stay in the room all day. What troubled us was there was not enough bath towels for 2 people, no wash clothes to be found either. bath products were limited to body wash only. We made the best of it and next morning headed out to an excursion in London thinking the room would be refreshed while we were gone. When we got back, no one had come to the room, we thought maybe because we didn't put the sign out? So next day we put the sign out to refresh, came back, no refresh. My husband went down to complain and was told he needed to contact reception or housekeeping and make that request. Never heard of such a thing. Long story short, unless you're an overnighter and don't plan on returning, don't use this hotel.

The check in machines are horrible. We needed help from Neve, who was wonderful. She helped us so much. You really need to have more people at check in.

Great location, right of the terminal. Loved the breakfast and bar area was nice. The room adequate and quiet. The only thing I didn’t like was self-checkin. It was not efficient at all. I understand that with the amount of people coming and going, it may not be possible to have a traditional reception, but more people are needed to help to check in and answer questions.
