I've been staying at this Motel 6 for decades. Literally. Dog shows, airport stays, breaks in travel. Over the years, there have been a few blips...an AC unit that blew cold all night...in the winter. Holes in a bathroom floor, and roaches in the handicapped units. But I keep giving it another chance. After this weekend, I just can't. Driving in to register, there were people sitting and laying on the ground in front of rooms, smoking and surrounded by trash. Moving around the property, it was clear than there were quite a few residential people living there. My room was clean and in good repair. No visible bugs. AC worked, the shower and sink only ran hot, which was weird and made for a painful shower. All survivable. It was the night that was problematic. All night. Arguments. Music. People moving around the corridors. The second night, a physical altercation, I heard someone get slapped. I had dogs with me and they were awake and stressed all night, just as I was. There was no apparent security. I was there for a dog show and needed to be up at 5:30, but barely got any sleep. I didn't feel safe, even taking my dogs out for a walk. So after many, many years, I just can't continue staying at this property. I'll spend the extra twenty dollars and go to another dog friendly motel.

This stay sealed the deal with Motel 6. Put in a room that had no window covering, no air unit, no fridge, no microwave, no toilet paper. Grabbed my bags and went right back to front desk, nice staff put me in a new room, had everything this time. Not such nice type of people lurking in every nook and cranny of the place made it very uncomfortable. Some motel 6’s are good and some are bad. This one was terrible and I will pay the extra money to stay at a different hotel chain after this, won’t take the chance again.

We stayed for 1 night. In our 1st room the air conditioner did not work, so the front desk clerk changed our room. In the 2nd room the air conditioner worked but the door wouldn't always lock when you closed it. The rooms were both updated but the property was run down with trash near the stairwell, etc. It used to have a pool but it has been filled in with dirt in the front. The location is great. Lots of food options around. It was surprisingly quiet all night long. The front desk clerk was very helpful and friendly.
