We booked Highbrook totally taking a chance on the property and it paid off.
Adam, the gentleman who is invisible but responds to texts in seconds (is a REAL person).
The property:
Conveniently located just outside Acadia National Park as well as downtown Bar Harbor.
Rooms are spotlessly clean and all the amenities in the room where thoughtfully set up and in working condition.
A bit dated, but am not complaining at all.
Dont expect a view of the National Park or the water but then you are mostly in the room to sleep at night...rest of the time is spent outdoors - again this is not a complaint but something to set expectations.
The best part about Highbrook is their 'supply room' - which is stocked amazingly well with attention to details and they do not charge a single extra $$ for this.
Breakfast is wholesome - and delivered on time to the doorstep. You may have to go and heat it up.
There is no room service, which they state upfront - but they send fresh towels and sheets, etc. on demand (dont expect it at midnight) - via a web based app.
All in all - if you are looking for a quaint, quiet, considerate, clean, thoughtful, convenient, responsive, courteous and wonderful place that does not nickel and dime you - go ahead and book Highbrook!

Staying here was so seamless. We loved being able to text and use the facility app for what we needed. The reminders we got were helpful without being overbearing, and our room was large and comfortable. We loved the design and slept well the two nights we stayed. Great location close to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia at a great price. Don’t let the “motel” label steer you away. Other reviews convinced us to stay here and we were so happy we did!

Great place to stay when visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Bus to Bar Harbor is really nice too.
