Super historic hotel for the town size. Recommend pairing with a nearby historic theater visit and hungry mother state park.

Room was small, but for what I needed, perfect. Some had complained about thin walls or hearing other people, i experienced none of that. Simple breakfast, waffles, cereal and muffins. No hot meals or anything. Fine for me! Overall, was just what I was looking for after a long day of driving the mountains.

Overall stay rated as one as I got ~25-30 bug bites from my feet to my hips and on my shoulder that I recognized after checking out from my one-night stay. I called back to the hotel to inform them and the attendant indicated they would advise management. I haven't heard back from anyone in a week.
This is the second time I have stayed at the GFM and both times I have had good experiences with the on-site staff. The bug bites and lack of follow-up turned this stay upside down!
