The grounds were good, just dated.

We had a short stay at this hotel and met some of our family who also stayed here. It was very clean and the staff were super friendly and helpful. They even put us on the same floor as our family, which was fantastic. They had a wonderful breakfast buffet. All in all, we had a great stay.

The room was large but set up very oddly. The TV was parallel with the window but there was no sofa or comfy chair in front of it to sit and watch TV except for the kitchen chair. To watch from the sofa meant you had to sit on the far end of the sofa by the kitchen and turn the TV at an angle. It didn't turn quite enough to comfortably watch TV on the sofa. We got back to our hotel late after visiting friends and when we tried to deadbolt the lock, it didn't work. We were too tired to call and wait on maintenance-my husband said the hardware was warped. So we could only use the catch-lock which didn't make it feel particularly safe and secure. When I went to shut the bathroom door, it was very tight and made a horrific sound like a machine gun (multiple shots). These hiccups made our rating less than it could have been had these type of issues been addressed during regular maintenance.
