This was a great affordable option. The location is perfect to get around the city. The staff were helpful and friendly. The shared bathrooms were clean and had hot showers. Only complaint is that you can everything in the halls and your neighbors. But it was quiet enough at night that I slept well. I would 100% stay here again when I come back to NYC.

The location of this property is excellent, with plenty of restaurants, cafes, and shops within walking distance. However, the property itself is not managed very well.
We experienced several issues during our stay. The staff were often smoking at the front entrance, which did not create a welcoming atmosphere. There were also problems during check-in, and initially we were assigned the wrong room.
The shared bathrooms were not cleaned adequately, and some shower drains were blocked. Fresh towels were not readily available, and we were told there would be a $10 charge for washing or replacing towels for seceral night stay.
The property does not have an elevator, so guests should confirm their room location before arrival, especially if they have heavy luggage or mobility concerns.
Another important point is that there is no individual air conditioning in the groud/first floor rooms. Air conditioning is centrally controlled in the ground-floor/common areas.
Finally, one member of staff on the ground floor was extremely loud late into the evening. If your room is located near the reception area, noise may make it difficult to sleep.
Overall, the location is the main advantage of this property, but improvements in cleanliness, customer service, and guest comfort are needed.
