Attractive, historic pub hotel, well located with its own carpark. Bar/check in staff very helpful and efficient.
Exceptional attention to detail throughout.
Very good breakfast menu and good cooked breakfast.
As it's a very old building, there are many small steps to negotiate and no lift.

Very accommodating when we arrived early for our room. Cleaner gave us time to change in there before going to a wedding and leave our luggage there also. Extremely helpful staff all round.

The room itself was absolutely fantastic and I can’t fault the staff or the breakfast. However there were a number of items in our room that were broken, one of which was quite dangerous! a light switch on the side of the bed which had a bare wire, if anyone was staying here with a younger child they could stick their fingers in there and get a nasty shock!
Also, a lot of the furniture is quite tired and whilst the bath was lovely, you couldn’t actually turn the cold tap off completely as it just span round and round leaving a dripping noise when you were trying to relax in the bath. Overall a lovely hotel but could do with some maintenance.
