Welcome to the Spacious Cottage Loft! Please enjoy a nice quiet relaxed atmosphere in this unique space. Its a little bit rustic with its shiplap pine and exposed beams. Its a little bit rock and roll with its little music space along with some favorite framed albums hanging on the walls. Very comfy queen size bed. 2 smart TVs (65" up & 55" down) for your entertainment pleasure. Roomy kitchen with brand new appliances. Bath-walk in shower. THIS SPACE IS DESIGNED TO ACCOMMODATE 1-2 GUESTS.
The space
Located in Black Rock, the historic seaside neighborhood of Bridgeport CT. You will find the Spacious Cottage Loft located on the property of my 1840s Victorian home. The Rustic Loft, is in a Carriage house that privately sits just behind my house. It has its own back patio and during warmer months there is access to a nice large in ground swimming pool. The space has its own unique design. You walk into a Rustic style foyer finished in fresh pine shiplap. There is a full bath just off the foyer with a good size fully tiled walk in shower. Walking thru the foyer will lead you into a spacious kitchen complete with and island equipped with 3 stools to sit at with a cup of tea or coffee or to have a meal at. Within in the kitchen space is also a nice area equipped with a 55" TV and Amazon Alexa Echo and stereo speakers for music, news, podcasts, etc. Also in this space is a sofa and ottoman to just hang out in and relax. Back thru the foyer and up the stairs will lead you into the loft area. The loft is very sizable space - about 30'x30', with high ceilings running down the span of the space with exposed beams. There is a living room area with a sofa and two matching chairs, a 65" TV and a stereo with a turn table and CD player. Please help yourself to our selection of old and new vinyl albums and or the CD collection as well.
There is a nice cozy sleeping area with a comfy queen size bed.
There is also a beautiful solid oak round dinning table siting on four huge lion paw feet. The table has three addition leaves if you should need to make it bigger.
Sitting under a small decorative octagon window is a comfy victorian style couch, great to curl up to read a book or sip on something pleasurable to drink.
We set up up a little music section with a mixture of some old musical pieces. We will be adding to this section over time. Please feel free to use whatever is there if your feeling so inclined.
One last thing, there is also an old solid oak desk to set up your laptop on and get some work done! But we advise relaxing and just mindlessly cruising the interwebs.
Guest access
You will have access to off street parking. Foyer, bath, Kitchen and lounge area, Upstairs loft with living/entertainment area, sleeping area and dining area.
Private entrance. Pool, patio and back yard area. Backyard/pool area is a shared space, so please be respectful and help keep it beautiful.

PLEASE - disclose all guests that will be staying during your initial booking request as well as pets. We need to have an accurate account of who/how many guests will be staying.
PETS - UPDATE as of 12/2022. If you are considering bringing a pet, you must let us know in advance of your booking and include a brief description of your pet- Breed & size.
We are no longer accepting animals over 30 pounds or heavily shedding breeds. Animals are not allowed on furniture or in beds.
An additional fee of $50.00 per animal will be added to your booking. Important - Your pet must be: house trained, well behaved, friendly, non barker, non destructive.
You are 100 percent responsible for cleaning up after your animal (DOG HAIR & Waste) and any damage that may be caused.
Unfortunately - due to some past guests dishonesty about the nature of their pets behavior, if you bring a pet that breaks any of the above rules, it will be considered as a break in our contract and additional fees will be applied and possible termination of your stay.
