The Surf Shack at Surfside is the perfect way to get the best of both worlds! This cozy cottage has partial water views and sits on the beautiful Bay Back National Wildlife Refuge on Sandbridge Island in Virginia Beach, VA. You can watch the ever changing scenery and natural beauty of the Back Bay or take a short two block walk to the Atlantic Ocean and Sandbridge Beach! The Surf Shack is the perfect place for a couples getaway or a young family beach vacation!
The space
You will need to bring all your bedding for 1 queen size and 1 full/double size beds, blankets, pillows, towels (bath, kitchen and beach), bathmat. I will provide a starter roll of toilet paper, paper towel, bath soap and dish washing liquid for your use. I have a few basic pantry items in stock such as salt, pepper and a couple other spices.
Guest access
We feel Surfside at Sandbridge is a safe and family friendly vacation resort. On a daily basis you will see guests and residents walking, bike riding, skate boarding or driving golf carts around the area, to and from the beach, and other local spots!

Quiet Time is 11pm to 8am
Trash Pick Up:
Trash is picked up every morning and is to be placed (bagged and tied) at the curb of your cottage between 7a.m. to 10a.m. If you are unable to meet this timeframe, drive or carry your trash bag to the dumpsters in the maintenance area.
You MUST break down boxes before putting them to the curb. Boxes that have not been flattened/crushed/broken down will not be picked up and owners/guests will be responsible for their disposal.
Common Areas, Bathhouses & Laundry Facilities:
Due to Covid-19 you must follow all the current rules and regulations as mandated for the current phase by the Commonwealth of Virginia. You must also take appropriate social distancing measures and wear face masks when necessary. If you utilize the Common Areas, Bathhouses & Laundry Facilities you must wipe down with a disinfectant upon your departure.
Parking at entrance of resort:
You must display your gate pass in your vehicle if you park in the spaces available at the entrance of the resort. This parking is available to owners and guests and others will be towed without proper identification.
