Stay information

Enjoy a luxurious stay, immersed in nature along the banks of the Stillwater River while only minutes from modern amenities, dining, parks, and recreation.

The space
Rivulet House is a 98-year-old cottage along the banks of the Stillwater River that has been completely renovated! It is quaint and cozy, with all the modern amenities you need with endless access to nature and the outdoors. The dining room is bright and airy with three skylights and direct entry to the top deck. The bottom deck is directly off the rec room in the walk-out basement. The river is mere feet from the edge of the deck, close enough to cast a pole and fish for smallmouth bass. Bald eagles, ducks, geese, hawks, and blue herons are seen regularly along with many song birds.

The Stillwater River is designated as a National Water Trail and a State Scenic River - the only river in Ohio to have received both designations. In summer, you’ll see many kayakers and canoeists enjoying the river. We can provide you information for booking your own kayak trip.

The house is 8 minutes from Dayton International Airport and less than 1-mile from Miami Valley Hospital North. It is a 20-minute drive to downtown Dayton and the University of Dayton. The dedicated work space makes remote work a breeze.

All beds have memory foam mattresses and extra blankets and pillows are provided.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire house, with the exception of one storage closet and one kitchen cabinet.

Other things to note
The house is 760 sqft on the first level with a rec room and work space in the walk-out basement. The bathroom and bedrooms are rather small, but the decks are roomy. The stairwell leading to the basement is narrow.

The house is located on a quiet dead-end street, but is very close to the road and has nearby neighbors. The I-70 bridge can be seen farther down the river and noise from the highway can be heard; it does not interfere with our use or enjoyment, but I want guests to be aware.

No more than 2 cars are permitted - zoning requirement.

The house is not suitable for mobile children under age 6 due to the proximity of the river.

The bunk room has a twin bed over a full bed. The weight limit on the top bunk is 200 lbs.

A fishing license is required to fish.
