Take a break and unwind at this peaceful rural retreat!!’ Located next to farmland and ponds . The birds , ducks and egrets visit regularly here! The GREAT wrap around porch lets you enjoy outdoors even in the Louisiana rain!! Come stay with us and attend some Louisiana festivals!

The space
The approximately 100 year old house is renovated but still has much of it’s old charm . The furnishings are mostly antiques collected from various parts of the country. I like collecting and using these “ treasures “ . There is a full kitchen , dinning room , living room with small pullout couch , ( for little ones -this additional bed, and a small cot also available with host approval) a bedroom with queen bed,and bath. It has air conditioning/heat via mini split unit and wood burning stove . The wrap around porch is a wonderful addition for outdoor dining, relaxing, or play activities. The back porch affords a peaceful and quiet view of the ponds and fields. The location is nearer to Church Point and not Opelousas.

Guest access
Guest have access to the whole house. Ponds are not accessible to guests as they are not part of the property. Small back area near oak tree is part of backyard and can be used for barbecuing.

Other things to note
This is primarily a venue for small family or couples looking for a quiet space to stay . It is not suited for large groups or loud partying. No smoking and no pets allowed. I request a days notice for reservations and a 2 night minimum.
