Welcome to Abell's Wharf Cottage on the beautiful and historical Breton Bay. You and your guests will relax along an 800 ft long private coastline with a sandy beach, piers, a serenity pond, and a decagonal gazebo with a built-in grill.
It is about an 8 minute drive to downtown Leonardtown and 90 minutes from Washington DC.
The space
The house is a recently furnished one-story cottage with about 1400 sq.ft. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining area, and two patios.
Bedroom 1 has a king-size bed, closet, and dresser, while Bedroom 2 has a queen-size bed, and closet. There is a 50” HDTV with NETFLIX, a desk with chairs, and a futon Sofa in the living room. The futon sofa can be converted to a queen-size futon bed. The beach access is best from the pier.
Crabbing and fishing off the pier is great! Please bring your own gear.
Other things to note
Some parts of the property such as the driveway need to be further improved. Besides the cottage, there are several other buildings: a large house, a garage, and a barn. Out of the over 10 acres of land, there are over 3 acres of lawn.
The width of the beach is dependent on the tides off the bay. When tides go down, a wider beach is present .
Towels provided are not to be used outside. Please bring your own beach towels.
