Tradewinds provided us with an 2 bedroom apartment that matched the photos and description and the receptionist on arrival was helpful. We paid for a late check out as our flight was in the evening. The apartment decor was tired and the sealant around the bath was discoloured giving an impression of being unclean. With a good handyman the whole apartment could have been much more appealing and a good deep clean would have lifted the feel. Others have mentioned a smell of bleach and we had the same. However that quickly disappeared. The kitchen was fitted with a good cooker, fridge and microwave. All were clean and working. Surprisingly given what was advertise there was no room safe. This is definitely worth checking. The showers in both bathrooms worked well. The beds were comfortable. The air conditioning was effective but quite loud. The views from our room were awful. My bedroom overlooked the bins, whilst the living area had a view of the rear of a petrol station. Outside the living room was a well used walkway. As a result we kept all blinds closed all the time. The day before leaving we checked with the hotel that the late check out was arranged. We also had to have our keys changed as the door locks had been replaced whilst we were out. On our final day not only did the door key not work after 11am but we had 2 separate visits from housekeepers. So no relaxed morning for us! A tired hotel with poor communication between departments and full of younger guests.

I have to be fair in my evaluation. As far as the stay goes, it was wonderful and perfect! The hotel has a great structure and it is what is announced. However,I had two bad experiences with logistics that could have been simply solved by having a whatsaap number and a direct phone number to the hotel! My flight arrived after midnight and on the very same day of checkin, I get an automatic message saying that check in after midnight was not allowed for the sake of safety. They didn’t respond my messages on app on time, I didn’t know if I would be able to sleep at the hotel. I was in Costa Rica and needed to call Expedia and had to wait 20 minutes until the attendant got in touch with the hotel reception but I was being charged for international call to solve this since my phone number is Brazilian. When I arrived the girl at reception had no ideia I was coming. I was also expecting a package from my company in China. Customs required FedEx to include the phone number from the place receiving the package, and again the hotel does not dispose a direct number to reception, which is basic! If knew, I would have chosen another hotel to avoid all the headaches I had with this delivery. The lack of a phone number didnt allow me to solve simple things!
