This is my second time staying at breakers express. Last time was about 10 years ago and it feels like they probably haven't done much in that time. The rooms and hallways smell musty, they have posters in the elevators advertising passes from as old as 2 seasons ago. Carpets are worn, furniture is worn. Overall basically a bad motel 6 for $200 a night.
The positives are it is close to cedar point and gets you early entry. Parking at the park is no longer included and considering it used to be included and is now $40+ that's a big negative. No shuttle either and you definitely can't walk or bike to the park.
The early entry is nice and they limit it more than it used to be but they also wait till just before the early entry time to even let you through security and the front gate so some of your early entry time is wasted when they used to let you into the main gift shop and front of the park before early entry actually started.
If you get a good rate or something might be worth it. If you don't have early entry from your pass and were deciding if it was worth it to stay here the answer is it's probably not. The bed was also very uncomfortable, very crappy hard mattress. Complained about how musty/moldy smell the first room, second room was better and they said "all the rooms have that issue and we're full so don't ask to be moved again". The wifi also barely worked and cell coverage for version was spotty at the hotel and park
