Check-in was smooth and easy, Jackie and her staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Our room was immaculately clean, fresh and the bed was very comfortable. We were warned on check-in that the Talbot doesn't do food on a Sunday evening, however we were able to eat at another venue nearby. We did have a couple of drinks from the bar at the Talbot, which were good value.
The village of Berriew is picturesque and we enjoyed walks around the village and along the Montgomery Canal. The location is also very convenient for visits to Powis Castle and its gardens. Parking spaces in the car-park looked a bit tight, however there was plenty of space to park along the quiet road outside.
Breakfast at the Talbot was delicious and well presented, if anything we'd ordered slightly more than we needed, but it was all good so we ate it all.
We'll be back when we're next visiting the area!

Bedroom and bathroom excellent. Breakfast outstandingly good. Only downside was the narrow bed.
