If I had heavy baggage, I wouldn't stay here. There were no lifts, and we were blessed that when we checked in, there was a strong employee was there to help us. We were only on the first floor, lucky for that. I am not sure if it is normal in Italy, but the bed only had a top sheet, no blanket or Doonas. When we asked for one, we were given something that didn't cover the whole bed. The hotel itself is in a great position to the train station and the centre of Florence. The staff were all nice.

We were in room 319 and there is no elevator so you have to walk the stairs every time you leave and come back from the rooms. When we first got to the room the AC would NOT turn on. I had to find the black power plug close to the ceiling and stand on the desk to turn it on. I attempted to call the front desk but the phone number given on the check in paper wouldn't work and I didn't want to walk the stairs just to troubleshoot the AC. The bathroom is considerably smaller than in the pictures (shockingly smaller). When the bathroom door is closed there is about 10 inches from the door to sink. It is cramped enough that you have to dry off in the shower. The shower would not drain and would almost overflowed so there needed to be breaks in between people so we didn't flood the room. Last and worst is there is a shower leak in the wall and it flooded our room when someone was taking a shower and got into all of our bags in under the beds. This looks to be a ongoing issue since the wall paper is all falling off and there looks to have been a section of drywall cut out and replaced that didn't have wall paper. The room did have a turn down service and the hotel AC was cold. The location to the train station and main attractions are this hotels redeeming quality. My biggest issue is I was told to contact the hotel through the booking website since the front desk couldn't help me and after about a week and multiple attempts I have not gotten any response.

The only positive side is the location as it is in the city center. The rest are all nega.. no lift or elevator we had huge luggages with us we asked the help of the reception staff to help us carry our luggages. We were borrowing kettle so we can have our tea in the room, there was none.. There was only one iron to use for the entire hotel! We had to wait for our turn.. the hotel stairs is not even, when you carry your huge luggages, there is a possibility you will trip and fall. In short, don't stay on this hotel Go somewhere else.
