We stayed here during our Texas Hill Country Wine tasting trip. The property is located next to beautiful Lake Marble Falls and our room had a lake view. The room was clean, bed comfy and the free breakfast delicious. This is our second time staying at this property. And we will be back next year.

I understand that a lot of hotels have stained carpets and it’s difficult to keep up with, but the carpet in our room was stained so badly that the whole thing needs to be replaced. I’m not a germophobe, but even I was reluctant to walk on the carpet barefooted. Also, our bathroom had hair all over the floor, and it was hair from many different people because there was curly hair and straight hair, gray hair, black hair. Short hair, long hair. Almost like the bathroom floor had not been cleaned after multiple stays.
I did not bring it up to the staff because we arrived very late, exhausted, and we were only there for one night.
The view of the river/lake is gorgeous and at breakfast we tried to sit on the outside dining room balcony to enjoy it, but we were overcome by the smell of pot smoking guests from below. At 9:00 am. I know that it’s not necessarily the hotel’s fault, but it added another negative in our not-so-pleasant stay.
