Entering the hotel, the man on reception was friendly and welcoming and made me feel at ease. Reception area and hall looked nice and well maintained. I was on the ground floor in a single room. There was a brand new mattress propped up in the corridor to my room, so clearly they are working to maintain and improve comfort. My mattress was very comfortable. The room was clean and I was provided daily with a fresh towel, soap and shampoo. There was a small fridge, kettle and a mini ironing board. I presume you ask for an iron or hairdryer if needed. The faux leather on the lowest bit of headboard was a bit worn away, needs replacing. The toilet and shower were in a small room, close together, with the sink in the bedroom. All were clean and well maintained.
I wasn’t sure if there was a breakfast as I’d seen a lovely photo of a buffet breakfast, but had seen some reviews saying breakfast wasn’t served anymore, then seen it was a grab and go breakfast, so I just bought some fruit and yogurt to put in the fridge.
The kitchen area was in a room that was also a store room, a darkish room, with shelves of supplies for the hotel and a cooker and kitchen sink, a microwave and toaster. I think there may have been a burst pipe at some point as part of the ceiling was missing. So a useable area, but needs a bit of work to make it more welcoming. But I feel as they’d had a new mattress delivered, it’s likely that things were being done to work on areas to improve guest experience.

Please remember it is a 2 star hotel. Therefore, don't expect too much. I don't know why there is breakfast photos. There is NO breakfast provided. The hotel should remove that pictures.

The whole stay was horrific unfortunately and if this review can help you avoid the discomfort me and my friend experienced then I’d like to help.
The room when we first walked in was like a sauna, we couldn’t stop sweating, the room was extremely tiny and there was a smell as if someone had just been to the toilet for a poo which got worse when we opened the bathroom door which I advise you keep open for your whole stay otherwise the smell will come back even worse.
We tried letting it air out and the smell was gone after about 10 minutes but the windows barely open and nowhere near enough for any air to circulate during the night from outside so we couldn’t even get to sleep until around 6-7am due to the heat, lack of ventilation and no air conditioning and then we had to be up like 2 hours later so we were very sleep deprived. They provided us with a fan in the room but all it did was push around hot air and it was very noisy which also disrupted our sleep; we asked for an extra fan in hopes that would cool the room down and they couldn’t provide us one.
The shower and tap in the room had virtually no pressure at all, the shower stops midway through your shower and water doesn’t come back for a good minute or 2 and the shower wasn’t cleaned well when we arrived so there was trepidations about using it at all.
Overall our stay was horrible and I suggest if you are looking for a cheap place to stay in London to not stay here.
