The space
The guest suite is set up as a private apartment on the first floor of our home, offering a bedroom with an en suite bathroom, a spacious living room, and a separate TV and office room. For guests who do not cook, this area is completely private. The fully equipped kitchen (please note that we do not have a microwave), dining room, and laundry area are shared with my daughter, who lives upstairs. You'll have your own private entrance through the front door, equipped with smart locks for convenient keyless access (no key exchange needed!). You can also lock your guest suite with a keypad door lock.
The bedroom is cozy yet thoughtfully designed, featuring a full-size bed, eco-friendly mattress, natural cotton linens, plush towels, and blackout curtains. It includes ample storage with wall-unit shelves and a small walk-in closet, plus a beautiful garden view. Stay comfortable with an overhead fan, AC, and central heating. The en-suite bathroom has a standing shower. Though compact, it’s thought through with every comfort in mind, making it the perfect place to unwind and recharge.
Just open the door—and voilà, the bedroom extends into a spacious living room with plenty of space to spread out. Lounge on the cozy couches or curl up with a book in the reading nook. Your private living room/home office also includes a smart TV with Amazon Prime and Netflix for unwinding after a long day, and an office desk if you need to catch up on work.
The backyard patio and grill is yours to enjoy, along with an enchanting garden filled with roses and wildflowers. Stroll along the stone paths, relax on a shaded bench, or watch the birds among the trees. When the roses and clematis are in bloom, it’s truly a sight to behold!
Our home is on a slope, and in addition to the driveway, there's a path with stepping-stone steps leading up from the street to the front door.
The neighborhood is quiet and safe, with North Hills just minutes away, offering some of the best dining and shopping in the city. Downtown Raleigh, Memorial Auditorium, and the Convention Center are a quick 15-minute drive. We’re also 7 minutes from Duke Raleigh Hospital, 15 minutes from WakeMed North, and 25 minutes from UNC Rex.

Guests have access to the guest suite with full bath, kitchen, dining room, TV/office room, laundry room, and garden.
Other things to note
We kindly ask that you remove your shoes upon entering the house—you’re welcome to leave them in the hall downstairs. When using the front door, please close it gently and check the smart lock. If the deadbolt turns before the door is fully shut, simply turn the knob manually to secure it. Thank you for helping us keep everything in great shape for all our guests!
