Easy access to I-5 (we are about 7 miles north of downtown), close to Northgate Mall (1.2 miles), a pool, and other restaurants/shopping (about 1 mile in two different directions). You’ll love our place because of the light, the comfy bed, separate entrance and plenty of space to call your own. It is most convenient if you have a car, but if you don't mind walking about 1/4 mile, there are buses available that can take you anywhere. Street parking available. We welcome all types of people.

The space
This is a warm and comfortable space. It is a daylight basement apartment with a separate entrance (on the North end of the house). The laundry will be shared, however, I will let you know if I need to use it prior to entering the space. There is no bathtub, only a shower (great water pressure!) and the bathroom is rather cozy and best suited for short to medium-sized people. There is a dining area, kitchen and a storage area (private for us) that I have blocked off with a room divider. There is one bedroom with a queen-sized bed. The second sleeping area is a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. There will be linens in the cabinet in the living room and a clean mattress protector already on the mattress on the sleeper sofa. We hope you enjoy it.

I will contact you to give you directions on how to access the unit a few days before your scheduled arrival date and I will see if you have any questions prior to your arrival. Please park on the street in front of our house or across the street. Please don't park in our driveway. You will have a short walk up the alley to the private entrance of the apartment (on the north side of the house). Feel free to back up into the alley if you have to unload luggage, but please don't park there. It is the only access for our neighbors who live on the alley.

Other things to note
There is a hairdryer in the bathroom as well as shampoo, conditioner and body wash. I have an iron available upon request. Please leave all items for the next guests. I have a broom and some cleaning supplies in the laundry area if you need them. The second sleeping area is the queen-sized sleeper sofa with linens in the cabinet in the living room. There are also several types of pillows (firm, medium, and soft) so hopefully, you can make yourself as comfortable as you would be at home. You may use/eat whatever you find in the kitchen/refrigerator. The water from the tap is fine to drink, but it is city water. In the kitchen, we have a coffee pot, microwave, range/oven, and refrigerator and provide dishes/pots/pans, etc. for cooking. You are free to use the washer/dryer if you need to wash towels, clothes, etc. Please let me know if you need any maintenance in the unit during your stay. There is a gray garbage bin by the entry door that you can put garbage in and I will bring it out from there. Very tall guests have commented that they felt a bit cramped using the restroom and the ceilings are low in the kitchen and dining area. I hope you feel comfortable.
