Rustic Mountain paradise with Trout Stream, boulder fields and more! Surrounded by National Forest on three sides and a short four mile drive or hike to the Blue Ridge Parkway. A few miles to Navitat and only 25-30 minutes to Downtown Asheville. High Speed Internet and power are available, though not available at your campsite. The setting is otherwise very rustic, ideal for a getaway from the day-to-day. So bring your tent and camp by the stream, by cliffs, or boulders.
The space The campsites start at about 100 feet from the unload area, so prepare for a small jaunt over a foot bridge that crosses the stream and then follow a foot-trail to your site. Parking is about 50 feet from the unload site.
We have 2 campsites that are directly connected to stream access and several more that are positioned along the bank of the stream, but are slightly higher in elevation. You also have the option to venture further into the forest (bring your pack and lightweight gear or hammock) and fully immerse yourself in the forest, which we highly recommend.
We allow campfires (when local fire danger is low) and have created fire pits at most of our campsites. Please bring your own wood, and dry kindling. We live in a rainforest and collectable wood often remains damp year-round.
Donation-based yoga classes and community bonfires occur frequently, especially on the weekend. Please inquire about this if you are interested.
We offer private sessions of massage, breathwork, yoga, and alphabiotic alignments. Please inquire if you would like to include one or more of these offerings during your stay.
We also make organic jun and superfood chocolate bars right here at Mandala Springs, which you will have access to purchase at discounted prices. Reach out to us if you would like a tour of our "craftory" or to purchase these amazing products!
Guest access There are three parts to the property; the three acres at the heart where you will arrive, the 11 acres on one ridge and the 29 acres beyond the stream. All areas are currently open for exploration, and the National forest beyond on three sides!
In addition to 30 acres of beautiful Appalachian forest to explore and a pristine mountain stream, you will have access to the following amenities:
*Shared composting toilet with sawdust and hand sanitizer *High-speed internet available near the parking area and throughout the community grassland space *Unlimited access to pristine spring water and artesian well water *24/7 access to power through the outside outlet of the chocolate craftory.
3 minute drive to a deeper swimming hole (6'ft) with a rope swing (inquire for directions)
Other things to note Pack it in pack it out and leave no trace. As campers you will need to take your trash with you. Please keep this in mind as you prepare for camping! We also encourage you to leave perfumed products and chemicals at home to minimize the impact on the environment. Please do not burn your trash or harvest/cut down any plant or mushroom life. Thank you for helping us keep our little corner of paradise pristine.
besides power, electricity and our high speed internet this is currently a rustic mountain paradise. There are tapped springs for water, composting toilets and that's about it! Desk Space will be made available for those who need it and streamside work sites can be set up to stay productive!!.
