INEXPENSIVE 2 bed/1 bath house in a transitional West Ashley neighborhood. Great for travelers on a budget! 4 miles from downtown and 12 to Folly beach.
This is for the budget traveler. It's not the Ritz & the neighborhood isnt "the best" but its safe, clean, and has a huge yard
NEW fridge, stove, mini split, security system, windows, washer, dryer, newly tiled in bathroom, sink, paint, and fenced in front and back yards, some furnishings changed
The space This neighborhood is in the middle of transitioning(as is much of Charleston). Whole Foods is 1 mile away. Lots of houses have been remodeled and upgraded but the neighborhood is historically low income and plenty of folks still walk or ride bikes in the area. Never has there been an issue with guests, but some folks don't seem to have traveled outside the suburbs before, so I felt the need to put a reminder here that theres a reason the house is not priced as high as most of the others....
The front and back yards are fenced in and we do have adt security system- never has had to be used though.
In short- We are not on rainbow row but we don’t have bars on the windows either. The neighborhood is historically low income and is reflected in the pricing. The house is safe and secure, it’s just not a Post card neighborhood. If people walking to the bus station scares you, don’t book this location (yes “people walking in the street” was an actual complaint)
Guest access The driveway will accommodate two cars easily. Savannah highway is one street over and is the main road into downtown. CARTA buses travel hourly along the route.
