The Primary Pad is a private apartment just 1 mile from the Des Moines Marina and Puget Sound waterfront, 25 minutes from downtown Seattle, and less than 10 minutes from Seatac Airport. Enjoy a spacious living area, kitchenette, bathroom, queen bed, a laundry washer and dryer, central AC in the bedroom , high-speed WiFi with adjustable standing/sitting desk, and outdoor patio. If you're here during blooming season, feel free to pick blueberries or clip roses in the garden. :)
The space
The private kitchen includes a double hot plate, a toaster oven, a regular toaster, a small refrigerator and freezer, a microwave, a coffee maker, a toaster, dishes, and silverware. The apartment also includes a 55-inch TV screen with a 20-foot HDMI cable to plug-in your own entertainment on your own laptop. The bedroom with locking door includes a queen bed, and the spacious living/dining area includes a full-size futon couch/bed. The laundry room, which is shared with one other dwelling area, has a washer and dryer. The outdoor patio, which is shared with two other apartments in the building, has a fire pit, chairs, one table, and outdoor lights for nighttime.
Guest access
Please enter through the BRIGHT RED door right in front of the building. :) Your whole one bedroom apartment will be private with a private entrance. The only shared areas are the laundry room and any outdoor spaces.
Other things to note
If you're here during blooming season, feel free to clip two roses per guest...and pick as many blueberries, strawberries, or mint as you'd like. :)
The 55-inch TV does not have any built-in streaming services, but it has a 20-foot HDMI cable to plug into your laptop and project your own entertainment onto the big screen. So, if you want to use this TV, please be sure that your laptop can accept an HDMI cable. Most Macs require an adapter.
The entire apartment is well-heated, but only the bedroom has central AC. The bedroom has an entirely separate heating/cooling system than the other rooms. The other rooms have a gas heater as well as two plug-in electric space heaters. Please keep the heaters plugged into ONLY the PowLight brand surge protectors to minimize risk of a circuit trip, and try to turn the heaters off whenever you leave the apartment.
