Lovely 2 night stay. We were kept informed about reception being closed when we arrived and given clear instructions. Very friendly staff and really good breakfast. Our room was very nice, could do with a freshen up as the walls and carpet had a few marks, but it was very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Really nice place 10-15 minute walk from train station. 10 minute walk in the central York. Rooms nice and clean with Sofa. No staff on site for checkin which is no issue for me personally as they sent over instructions, my only point would be it’s not totally clear how to input the code they give you until you work out how to do it. Maybe just me but I’m guessing not. The Full English Breakfast was very good standard and freshly cooked. Staff in the morning were polite and helpful. I would stay here again for sure.

Well, firstly when booking the hotel it said parking which is why I booked it as I was driving from Norfolk, only to find when I went to check in that parking was an extra £20 a night. Once this was sorted the staff were helpful but as they are low staffed I’m assuming when I arrived we had to use a keypad to get in which was a bit of a nightmare but got there after a few attempts. The rooms were quite nice aside the occasional stain on the carpets and marks on the walls but for around £200 it wasn’t what I expected for the price, the bathroom was lackluster and the drain for the shower hadn’t been cleared out in months so anything over 2 minutes in the shower was liable to flood and had to try get the shower trap out to let the water flow properly to be greeted by at least a couple months of hair and grime, whilst the shower had pretty low pressure. The sink which is generously named was barely large enough for one hand to fit comfortably in. Staff were quite helpful. The breakfast consisted of 2 bits of bacon, one sausage, one bit of bread, small pot of beans some mushrooms, cooked cherry tomatoes ? And the scrambled egg tasted like powdered egg, not worth the add on cost and overall the hotel was realistically worth about half the price, purely because it’s York is the only thing I can attribute the cost to. Wouldn’t recommend.
